Intro

Llama Trekking – Take a walk on the wild side at The Jungle!

Always a one for firsts, The Jungle was the first adventure activity centre to bring the therapeutic pleasure of Llama Trekking to Ireland.

Come and meet our lovely llamas!

When Llama Trekking you will not actually be riding the llamas, rather you will get to enjoy a gentle dander in the great wide wonder with a lovely llama at your side! You will be guided around The Jungle grounds by an instructor who will provide some information on the llamas and guide you on how best to handle them. You’ll delve into the depths of The Jungle’s enchanting forest where time and daily stress simply fade away as you find yourself surrounded by the beauty of Mother Nature and, of course, a llama.

Explore purpose-made paths through The Jungle’s enchanting forest!

The purpose-made treks you will follow are mapped and colour-coded, so armed with your map, and with the accompaniment of our fully trained instuctors, there is absolutely no chance that you will get lost!

Perfect for those who prefer their adventure at ground level and suitable for all ages!

The Jungle’s Llamas are extremely good natured, placid animals who love human company – they really are quite lovely! And they have been trained to walk gently by your side throughout the forest so this activity is suitable for all ages and abilities. Our instructor will also be joining you to provide extra support and some background on these good natured animals.

As the llamas are big, strong creatures, we usually assign one llama per two people. For larger groups it may be one between 3 or 4 people. Under 16’s need to be accompanied by an Adult.
