The outbreak has returned to The Jungle! Your challenge is to make it through mud, obstacles, and zombie-infested zones with at least one of your three lives (ribbons) left. Lose them all, and you’ll join the ranks of the undead. Hold on to your lives, keep your nerve, and whatever happens — keep moving forward.
We’ve got waves of survivors heading out across the day:
Adults: 10:00 / 10:10 / 10:20 / 10:30 / 10:40 / 10:50
Kids: 13:00 / 13:10 / 13:20
Teens: 14:30 / 14:40 / 14:50
Please make sure to arrive at least 45 minutes before your slot. This gives you enough time to register, collect your life waistbands, and prepare yourself before the zombies are released. Late arrivals may find themselves running unprepared — and that’s never a good idea when the undead are waiting.
Parking is provided in the car park across the road. This zone is fully secure and completely free from zombies. Once parked, make your way through the subway tunnel into The Jungle’s farmyard entrance. Whatever you do, DO NOT cross the road — it’s unsafe and could cost you a life before the run has even started.
Your first stop on arrival is the Registration Area. Here you’ll check in with our team and collect your waistband, which comes with three ribbons — these represent your lives. Keep them safe! The zombies’ only goal is to take them from you.
You’ll also need to hand in your risk acknowledgement form (under-16s must have a parent or guardian complete it). Once signed in, you can use our Bag Drop Area if needed. Bags are stored securely away from zombies for a small fee of £3 per bag. Travel light if you can, but this service is here if you need it.
The right gear can mean the difference between survival and defeat. Trail running shoes are ideal because they grip well in mud, drain water quickly, and handle rough terrain better than normal trainers. But if you don’t have them, old running shoes will do just fine. Just remember: whatever shoes you wear will get muddy, wet, and worn down, so don’t bring anything you’re too attached to.
When it comes to clothes, sportswear beats fashion. Tight-fitting, quick-drying tops and bottoms will help you move easily, avoid getting weighed down, and dry faster after muddy or wet obstacles. Loose or heavy clothes hold water and mud, and make you an easier target for zombies. Good socks are a must, and breathable sports gloves can give you extra grip on obstacles.
If you like, bring a headband to keep sweat and mud out of your eyes, or a durable sports watch to track your time. Fancy dress is also welcome — if you’d like to face the undead in a superhero cape or silly outfit, go for it. Just be ready to get it muddy.
Surviving the run is only half the challenge. Once you cross the finish line (hopefully with at least one life left), you’ll collect your Zombie Run t-shirt as proof of your bravery. But don’t stop planning here, October in Northern Ireland is cold, and you’ll cool down quickly.
Bring a warm jacket or coat that you can throw on straight after finishing. Pack a towel if you want to use the showers (remember to bring 50p coins to operate them). A full change of clothes is strongly recommended — no one wants to sit in the car cold, wet, and muddy on the way home.
You will be guaranteed to be hungrier than the zombies, so a hot lunch will be waiting for you after the run.
