Summary / introduction:

The Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in the Safe Operation of Hand Held Pesticide Stem Injection Equipment has been developed in direct response to a legal requirement for users to hold a recognised specified certificate. This is required before using pesticide products to protect plants and crops from pests and diseases, and for the control of unwanted plants/weeds. Since 26 November 2015, anyone who is purchasing a pesticide authorised for professional use must ensure the product will be used by someone who holds a specified certificate or who will be working under the direct supervision of someone who holds one. A specified certificate is one which relates to the relevant use of the product being purchased.
