Sit-Astride ATVs are very versatile vehicles with a range of attachments including trailers, sprayers and spreaders making them an effective and flexible business tool. However even the most experienced ATV riders can find themselves in a potentially dangerous situation, and without the proper training serious accidents can occur.

Our sit-astride ATVs – including Loads and Trailed Equipment course has experienced instructors who will guide you through the training to make sure that you are able to use the sit-astride ATV safely and with confidence, and that the key fundamentals of driving, loading and Health and Safety are covered.

Once you have successfully carried out this course you will receive a certificate of training for sit-astride ATVs – including Loads and Trailed Equipment.

Who is it for?

Our sit-astride ATVs – including loads and trailed equipment course is for experienced operators who use a sit-astride ATV as part of their work, and want their skills updating with certification. This is a one day course if you have a certificate of basic training or signed operator declaration form.

  • Operate the sit-astride ATV safely on a variety of slopes and terrain (full course only).
  • Identify loading/towing capacities.
  • Drive with loads and trailed equipment (full course).
  • Load and secure for transport on the road (if appropriate).
  • Understand legal and practical requirements for traveling on the public road.
  • Identify track profile and weight transfer.
  • Load and unload machine from trailer/lorry.
