The Jungle was born in 2005. It stemmed from a passion for adventure and a drive for innovation. The chance to offer our customers something different, somewhere they could create lasting memories and offer an escape into a world of adventure, beautiful natural surroundings and a friendly atmosphere is at the core of what we do.
We have over 200 acres of land, situated in the picturesque natural haven at the foot of the rolling Sperrin mountains, in Moneymore. Previously, The Jungle grounds acted as a working farm, which was then transformed into an all action paintball site as part of a Farm Diversification scheme. As the years went on The Jungle added more adventure activities, both for adults and kids. With a strong body of activities under our belt, The Jungle then branched out into event hosting. Built from the ground up, we dug into our creative reserves and added a range of innovative events to our roster, such as the infamous Fright Night scare attraction, along with the accompanying adrenaline pumping Halloween themed Zombie Run obstacle course, the enchanting Christmas Wonderland and finally the gut busting Rampage 5K and 10K obstacle mud run. For the little ones, we created our action filled Family Fun Days and seasonal Easter Egg Hunt.
It’s fair to say we thrive on the innovation and excitement involved in building these grand spectacles. We are blessed with a wonderful idyllic setting to host a range of events, as well as adventure filled weekend retreats. Last year we hosted two beautiful wedding receptions right here on The Jungle grounds.
Our venue is ideal for a quirky, alternate style wedding reception. What other wedding venues can offer you the tranquil natural environment, adrenaline spiking activities, a merry troop of llamas, overnight accommodation in the countryside and a range of scenic photograph backdrops. We know this won’t be for everyone’s taste, however for those who’d like something out of the ordinary to celebrate their big day, look no further.
We will happily work with you to facilitate any requests you wish to include in your wedding plans. We have the space, facilities and thirst for innovation to make your quirky, unique or even outlandish ideas come to life. We can accommodate up to 200 guests in our Big Barn, where you and your guests can relax and toast the occasion, nosh down on some luxurious cuisine lovingly prepared by our creative catering partners before dancing the night away under the disco lights, soaking up the good vibes and creating lasting memories.
Our Big Barn is a two-level specially designed building, with seating for up to 120 people if required. The major advantage is that it can be laid out to your specific requirements.
Our Wedding Barn is a sizeable converted barn that would suit a party of up to 220.
Something a little more off the beaten track. We can ferry you to the Forest Barn by Hay Cart where you can party away the night in our forest. A venue that must be viewed to be appreciated.
If you’d like to have a special wedding reception in the outdoors, we can also hire space for your Marquee. Enjoy your meal in your Marquee on the lawn, hopefully under the summer sunshine and then make your way to The Big Barn to let the party start! Alternatively, we can hook up the Marquee with electrics and have your band or party outside.
Revel in the great outdoors with our cosy Glamping Pods. We have 4 pods, which sleep up to 8 people in each pod. A short walk from our Big Barn, they are nestled neatly alongside the river which runs through The Jungle. Surprisingly spacious and comfortingly warm, your guests can stay onsite and be immersed in the natural beauty of their surroundings.
If the outdoors isn’t your thing, we can also offer your guests a night’s stay in our large residential centre in Moneymore, about 2 miles from The Jungle.
Camping at a wedding, why not? We have something for everyone here at The Jungle. Our large campsite can host up to 300-400 people on site, so for those crazy enough to want to retreat into a tent once the night’s drawn to a close, please be our guest! With close access to showers, toilets and the Big Barn, you will have everything you need at only a stone’s throw away.
From the simple and modest to the lavish and luxurious, we can cater to your unique tastes. Our preferred caterers offer a range of different options, from high class 3 course meals, extravagant canapés, summer BBQ feasts or whatever other tastes you desire. If you have someone in mind to provide the catering for you, we will take a step back and let them take the reins of the catering options.
With a wide selection of natural and man-made backdrops The Jungle is full of unique photo opportunities. Boasting a rural landscape with a selection of ponds, forests, rivers, ravines, rolling hills, wild life and numerous props, you can get as creative as you wish with your wedding photos. We even have an onsite joinery team, should you wish for something out of the ordinary to be crafted for your big day.
To add a dash of extra excitement to the big day, you can add in some of our adventure activities for a wedding like no other. You could be the first Bride and Groom to tumble down our Zorb hill on your wedding day. We have a range of exhilarating activities on offer such as:
What nicer way to accessorise your wedding than with a couple of The Jungle’s lovely llamas. Our friendly and trained llamas would make the ideal wedding guests. They would go down a storm with guests as they would be able to get up close and personal, hug, stroke and get pictures taken with these wonderfully colourful characters. We can offer our special llamas to weddings located here at The Jungle as an optional extra to add some fun to proceedings, or we can provide them to other off site venues if you would like them to join your wedding party somewhere else.
For a quirky addition to your big day, these gentle creatures will provide a special talking point and a great photo opportunity.
